Three pills, then a crash

Marko started finasteride after advice from people online and a consultation with a dermatologist. He says the prescription process was brief and straightforward.

Within three days he noticed symptoms and stopped immediately. The next day, he had a crash.

What Marko describes

  • A year of neurological problems, psychological distress and physical symptoms that left him unable to work.
  • Doctors who dismissed him and told him his condition was psychological.
  • How easily finasteride was prescribed after very little assessment.
  • Losing five of the most important years of his life.

Five years on, Marko is much better than he was at his worst. He says he is not the same person he was before.
