What one person’s illness did to a marriage
Thammika was married to someone who became ill after taking finasteride, before the two of them met. She says their love for each other stayed, but the marriage ended.
What Thammika describes
She talks about what that did to her: a long stretch of isolation. She wrote a novel, Stamford Hospital, in that period.
Moral Medicine frames the interview around the part of this that is rarely seen: what it does to a partner, to children and to a family.
Thank you to Thammika for telling this story. This interview was recorded by Moral Medicine, who have filmed more than ninety of these conversations.
